Voice Isolator

Knox exposes ElevenLabs-compatible Voice Isolator endpoints at https://api.knoxstudio.ai/v1 for KnoxStudio. Authenticate with your Knox API key (Authorization: Bearer sk-... or xi-api-key). Knox bills the request and relays it upstream. The same routes are also served by https://api.knox.chat/v1.

This is not Speech to Text and not Voice Changer. Isolator turns mixed audio or video into isolated speech.

Typical flow:

  1. List models — GET /v1/audio-isolation/models
  2. Isolate — POST /v1/audio-isolation
  3. Or stream — POST /v1/audio-isolation/stream
https://api.knoxstudio.ai/v1
Authorization: Bearer sk-...

Use the official ElevenLabs SDK against Knox by pointing it at this base URL and using your Knox key as xi-api-key.

Models and billing

Isolation models are not the same catalog as /v1/models. Fetch:

curl https://api.knoxstudio.ai/v1/audio-isolation/models
model_idNotesPrice
audio_isolationDefault. Remove background noise and isolate speech. Up to 1 hour per request.$0.17 per audio minute

Multipart uploads may be up to 500MB. Audio must be at least 100ms. History list and delete are not billed.

Unauthenticated catalog requests are limited to 60/minute and may be cached for 5 minutes. A Bearer token returns only the models that token is allowed to use.

Isolate speech

Send multipart/form-data with the audio file. Optional file_format is pcm_s16le_16 (raw 16-bit PCM at 16 kHz) or other (default for encoded files such as MP3 or WAV).

curl -X POST https://api.knoxstudio.ai/v1/audio-isolation \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $KNOXCHAT_API_KEY" \
-F "audio=@interview.wav" \
-F "file_format=other" \
-o vocals.mp3

A successful convert returns the isolated audio bytes. Unknown multipart fields are forwarded upstream.

GoalEndpoint
Stream isolated audioPOST /v1/audio-isolation/stream

Errors

These endpoints return { "detail": "..." } or, for validation, HTTP 422 with { "detail": [{ "loc": [...], "msg": "...", "type": "value_error" }] }.

Common statuses: 401 missing/invalid key, 402 insufficient credits, 403 model not allowed for the token, 422 missing audio, over 1 hour, or invalid file_format.
